Bolt Auto Care is looking for a friendly, organized, and motivated Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. The Service Advisor is the main point of contact for our customers and plays a key role in keeping the shop moving, the customer informed, and the service process running smoothly.
This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys helping people, can communicate clearly, stays calm in a busy environment, and is willing to learn the automotive service business.
What You’ll DoAs a Service Advisor, you will help customers from the time they arrive until their vehicle is completed. Your responsibilities will include:
- Greeting customers in a professional and friendly manner
- Listening carefully to customer concerns and documenting vehicle issues accurately
- Creating repair orders and communicating customer concerns clearly to technicians
- Reviewing vehicle inspections, technician notes, and service recommendations
- Preparing and presenting estimates for maintenance and repairs
- Explaining recommended services in a clear, honest, and customer-friendly way
- Keeping customers updated on vehicle status, approvals, delays, and completion times
- Scheduling appointments and helping manage the daily service flow
- Answering phone calls, emails, and in-person questions professionally
- Helping customers understand maintenance needs based on vehicle history, mileage, and manufacturer recommendations
- Working closely with technicians and management to provide a smooth customer experience
- Following up with customers on declined services, estimates, and future maintenance needs
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- A positive attitude and a professional appearance
- Good organization and attention to detail
- The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn shop management software
- A willingness to learn automotive systems, services, and repair processes
- The ability to explain technical information in a simple and respectful way
- Reliability, accountability, and a team-first mindset
Automotive experience is helpful, but not required for the right person. Previous experience in customer service, sales, dispatching, retail, restaurants, or office administration can also be a strong fit.
