Adjunct Faculty – Teacher Education

Gainesville campus, North Central Texas College.

North Central Texas College is seeking adjunct instructors to teach learning frameworks throughout the academic year. This is an adjunct position for face‑to‑face/hybrid teaching only. Candidates must be able to teach in a college classroom on campus during the day and/or evenings. No online positions will be available.

• Planning and teaching undergraduate courses in learning frameworks.
• Treating students and colleagues with respect.
• Active involvement in issues of institutional effectiveness, including student learning outcomes, program‑level outcomes, and marketable skill achievement.
• Focusing teaching and outreach efforts on student success.
• Maintaining accurate and complete course records as required by North Central Texas College.
• Participating in planning, implementing, and evaluating assigned courses.
• Working effectively within a group or independently, student‑oriented, and able to meet deadlines. Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change based on the needs of the department and the institution.

Candidate must have a Masters of Education (M.Ed) or Master’s degree in Psychology or counseling or related field.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Exhibition of respect and professionalism in a spirit of collegiality.
• Ability to promote an effective environment for learning in lecture experiences.
• Ability to teach students using a variety of teaching methods.
• Knowledge of online delivery methods.

Experience teaching or working with college students is preferred. Experience with computer LMS systems is preferred.

Prior teaching experience required.

Pay rate – $680 per load unit (or credit hour).
