Pay rate – $680/load unit (or credit hour).
Final candidates will be required to present a 15‑minute teaching segment on the business topic of their choice.
Job SummaryNorth Central Texas College is seeking adjunct instructors to teach college courses in the Business Management curriculum. The role requires enhancing courses with current business climate, engaging students, and contributing to the college community through teaching and related services such as academic advising, committee participation, and professional development.
Responsibilities and Duties- Planning and teaching undergraduate courses in business management; keep courses aligned with the current business climate.
- Participate in the business department advisory council, annual meetings, and maintain communication with industry partners.
- Treat students and colleagues with respect.
- Active involvement in institutional effectiveness initiatives, including student learning outcomes and program-level outcomes.
- Focus teaching and outreach efforts on student success.
- Maintain accurate and complete course records as required by North Central Texas College.
- Participate in planning, implementing, and evaluating assigned courses.
- Work effectively within a group or independently; student‑oriented and able to meet deadlines.
- Other duties as assigned; responsibilities may change based on the needs of the department and institution.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, or an Associate degree with three years of documented business experience.
Required Skills & Abilities- Ability to teach in person.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Exhibition of respect and professionalism in a spirit of collegiality.
- Ability to promote an effective learning environment for lecture and lab experiences.
- Ability to teach students using a variety of teaching methods.
- Knowledge of online delivery methods and course development.
Three years documented industry experience.
Preferred Experience- Higher education teaching experience.
- Experience with online teaching.
