Job SummaryNorth Central Texas College is seeking adjunct instructors to teach learning frameworks throughout the academic year. This is an adjunct position for face-to-face/hybrid teaching only. Candidates must be able to teach in a college classroom on campus during the day and/or evenings. No online positions will be available.
Subject to criminal background check.
Pay rate – $680/load unit (or credit hour).
Based on the Gainesville campus.

It is the responsibility of the teaching faculty to provide learning activities and support that will lead to the achievement of course and program objectives and to contribute to the overall educational environment of the college and community and to provide related services such as academic advising, committee participation, professional development, community development as well as other service support that is needed in the fulfillment of the North Central Texas College’s Mission.
Responsibilitiesand Duties
- Planning and teaching undergraduate courses in learning frameworks.
- Treating students and colleagues with respect.
- Active involvement in issues of institutional effectiveness, including student learning outcomes, program-level outcomes, and marketable skill achievement.
- Focusing teaching and outreach efforts on student success.
- Maintaining accurate and complete course records as required by North Central Texas College.
- Participating in planning, implementing, and evaluating assigned courses.
- Working effectively within a group or independently, student-oriented, and able to meet deadlines. Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change based on the needs of the department and the institution.
Candidate must have a Masters of Education (M.Ed) or Master’s degree in Psychology or counseling or related field.
Required Skills & Abilities- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Exhibition of respect and professionalism in a spirit of collegiality.
- Ability to promote an effective environment for learning in lecture experiences.
- Ability to teach students using a variety of teaching methods.
- Knowledge of online delivery methods.
Prior teaching experience required.
Preferred ExperienceExperience teaching or working with college students is preferred. Experience with computer LMS systems is preferred.
