This position contributes to our vision by:

 Manage the technical development of a product from conception to production

 Utilize core tools such as PFMEA, DFMA, control plans, etc.

 Collaborate with engineering, operations, tooling and other departments to resolve issues and improve processes. May develop new tools as needed.

 Review and approve or reject engineering drawings in accordance with internal DFM guidelines and requirements. Propose changes and updates to DFM guidelines.

 Create and maintain detailed work instructions

 Ensure design and process are sufficient to produce the quality of product required by internal and external standards. Support related improvements and projects.

 Support production areas, fabrication and final assembly, when new product is being launched to quickly address and correct and issues that may arise

 Determine root causes of failures or production problems and recommend changes to designs, tolerances, or processing methods



** Candidate skills & requirements*
* At Safran Seats, we value service-oriented team players who demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to adapt to our dynamic, innovative environment.

- B.S degree in a related technical field (e.g.:
Industrial Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer/Technology, Aeronautics Engineer, or Electrical Engineer) or an Associate degree with 6 years related experience or 12 years of job related experience

- Three years of manufacturing experience required in a Manufacturing Engineer, Industrial Engineer or related Engineering capacity

- Applicable experience may be acquired prior to, during, or following completion of degree.

- Six Sigma or Lean certification preferred

- Catia V.5 or design modeling a plus
