This position contributes to our vision by:
Manage the technical development of a product from conception to production
Utilize core tools such as PFMEA, DFMA, control plans, etc.
Collaborate with engineering, operations, tooling and other departments to resolve issues and improve processes. May develop new tools as needed.
Review and approve or reject engineering drawings in accordance with internal DFM guidelines and requirements. Propose changes and updates to DFM guidelines.
Create and maintain detailed work instructions
Ensure design and process are sufficient to produce the quality of product required by internal and external standards. Support related improvements and projects.
Support production areas, fabrication and final assembly, when new product is being launched to quickly address and correct and issues that may arise
Determine root causes of failures or production problems and recommend changes to designs, tolerances, or processing methods

** Candidate skills & requirements*
* At Safran Seats, we value service-oriented team players who demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to adapt to our dynamic, innovative environment.
- B.S degree in a related technical field (e.g.:
Industrial Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer/Technology, Aeronautics Engineer, or Electrical Engineer) or an Associate degree with 6 years related experience or 12 years of job related experience
- Three years of manufacturing experience required in a Manufacturing Engineer, Industrial Engineer or related Engineering capacity
- Applicable experience may be acquired prior to, during, or following completion of degree.
- Six Sigma or Lean certification preferred
- Catia V.5 or design modeling a plus
