This position is responsible for developing and expanding their community bank's asset base through the profitable growth of its market share of retail and commercial lines of business. Responsible for providing supervision and direction for all community bank personnel.
Major duties and responsibilities include:
- Assumes responsibility for designated community bank.
- Monitors balance sheet and income statement for the community bank.
- Provides supervision and direction for the community bank employees including loan officers, loan assistants, CSRs, and tellers.
- Monitors all activities of the community bank including new loan requests, past dues, classified loans, non-accruals, overdrafts, and exceptions.
- Approves all requests as directed by lending policy regulating such authority.
- Serves as the bank representative in professional, business, and community organizations and events to promote bank services.
- Assumes responsibility and is accountable for the loan portfolio in their market.
Additional duties and responsibilities include conducting day-to-day operations under the policy direction of CEO and board of directors, educating and developing personnel, maximizing collaboration between lending and operations in designated community bank location, completing all required compliance exams on a yearly basis, adherence to all First United policies and procedures, dressing professionally.
Employee specifications to perform this job successfully include a bachelor's degree in finance or related field, minimum of 10-20 years relevant industry and management experience, strong financial and regulatory expertise with the banking industry, strong negotiation skills, strong leadership, communication, organization, and analytical skills, excellent interpersonal skills, strong financial analytical and underwriting skills, experience managing within a matrix organizational structure, extensive leadership versatility, and an ability to relate with and understand varying mindsets within a diverse organization.
Ability to manage a wide range of projects, complex thinking capacity and skills, knowledge of loan participation, and ability to lead others to comprehend complex issues from a higher level and bring value to senior management.
