1. Occupational Summary (Position Objective & Authorities)
Objective:
The Methods & Tools Manager acts as a central support resource for all Supply Chain departments, with the primary mission of benchmarking, identifying, and proposing digital solutions and standardized methods to optimize processes, efficiency, and data management. This role works in close collaboration with the operational and functional teams, taking an advisory position, facilitating the selection and implementation of the most suitable tools in line with business needs.
The Methods & Tools Manager leads technology watch, proposes innovations, and ensures proper documentation and user support. This role acts as a subject‑matter expert and owner for supply chain digitalization. Works under general supervision.
- Decision‑making authority within assigned scope and in alignment with Supply Chain process requirements.
- Empowers cross‑functional teams through training and support, and ensures digital solutions remain aligned with global Supply Chain strategy.
Main Function Responsibilities‑
- A. Develop and own the strategy and roadmap for digital tools and methods for the entire Supply Chain department.
- B. Conduct regular technology and industry watch. Evaluate, select and implement digital solutions (ERP, advanced analytics, data visualization tools, AI, etc.) in alignment with business process owners. Provide expertise and recommendations to the teams.
- C. Support and facilitate alignment between IT, business teams, and external partners to maximize the coherence and effectiveness of selected solutions.
- D. Coordinate the deployment, documentation, and user training for solutions selected by the business owners, ensuring alignment with company standards.
- E. Provide ongoing support to users for the adoption of new tools and standardized methods.
- F. Lead and coordinate the ERP transition for the Supply Chain organization.
- G. Establish, maintain and enhance supply chain‑wide metrics and performance dashboards, ensuring robust analytical frameworks are available for operational and strategic decision‑making.
- H. Maintain up‑to‑date documentation and governance for all supply chain tools and standardized processes.
- I. Ensure compliance of methods and tools with company quality, data security and operational requirements.
- J. Perform other duties as assigned.
A. Education & Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field required or 6 years related experience in lieu of Bachelor's level degree to meet the education requirement.
- Minimum 6 years' experience in supply chain optimization, process digitalization, or related roles in an industrial environment.
- Hands‑on experience leading ERP or supply chain technology deployments.
- Familiarity with AI applications and automation in supply chain context.
- Experience in process documentation and standardization.
- Effective communication skills in English.
- Ability to translate business needs into digital solutions and manage digital transformation initiatives.
- Travel – International and or Domestic travel required, 5%.
- Advanced capabilities in data analysis, dashboarding, and performance measurement.
- Strong project management, change management, and influencing skills.
- Leadership and collaborative mindset, service and support‑oriented.
- High adaptability and ability to drive change in ambiguous environments.
- Proactive, autonomous, and analytical approach.
- Professional certifications such as APICS/CPIM, PMP, or Lean Six Sigma are a plus.
- Experience in the aerospace or closely related industrial sector.
