Injection Molding Maintenance Technician
We are looking for an experienced Injection Molding Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team in Gainesville, Texas. This position is responsible for minimizing downtime on the production machinery and performing routine maintenance and repairs on the buildings and property.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Maintain production and facility injection molding equipment to include installation, set up, preventative maintenance and adjustments required by technical service instructions
- Safely troubleshoots, repairs, and executes all preventive maintenance tasks on injection molding related equipment required in tooling and manufacturing
- Inspects and tests auxiliary machinery and injection molding equipment to detect causes of malfunctions
- Dismantles auxiliary machinery and injection molding equipment to gain access and perform diagnoses
- Removes and replaces worn or defective parts
- Cleans and lubricates shafts, pulleys, gears, bearings, bushings, etc
- Repairs hoses, wiring, valves, etc., reassembles and verifies proper function
- Analyzes maintenance requests from personnel
- Effectively communicates with outside equipment suppliers to obtain competitive quotes, resolve equipment performance, maintenance, and reliability issues
- Maintains meticulous housekeeping with regard to work areas, tools, company vehicles and other company equipment to continually reflect the high standards of the company
- Complete special projects and perform other duties as assigned by management
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years' maintenance experience in an injection molding equipment manufacturing environment
- Proven record of successful troubleshooting and preventative maintenance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word dominant)
- Ability to work in hot or cold temperature climates for extended periods
- Ability to squat, crouch, bend and stoop
- Ability to walk and/or stand for extended periods
- Must use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms
- Ability to determine root cause and design and implement corrective action quickly
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
