Your role involves collaborating with a team to develop high-value solutions for passengers and crews. Safran is one of the few OEMs offering a comprehensive range of passenger seats, from economy to first class, allowing you to take pride in creating impressive seating options for various needs.

1. Occupational Summary (Position Objective & Authorities)

Objective:

Provide support to leads and operators in the assembly and/or fabrication areas. Provide information and support for process improvement. Implement structure and plan manufacturing programs.

Support manufacturing assembly and fabrication to trouble shoot both assembly and fabrication problems. This requires close interaction with assembly personnel, fabrication personnel, and their supervision. Must support all lean manufacturing improvements and may require participation in lean improvement activities. Must also work closely with Quality Assurance, Program Management, Engineering, and shop Managers to resolve quality issues, increase productivity, and eliminate ergonomic problems.

Under general supervision this position will play a crucial role in the seamless transition of work processes and projects between different locations, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and optimal performance.

2. Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)

Main Function Responsibilities
- A) Provide support to leads and operators in the assembly and fabrication areas.

B) Analyze parts and seat flow.

C) Conduct time and motion studies and provide proposal improvement.

D) Balance the lines or cells and implement procedures and/or operator instructions to support process improvement.

E) Participate to the implementation of structure and plan manufacturing programs (Lean Manufacturing, Set-up Reduction, 6S, Cost Reduction...).

F) Apply statistical data analysis in normal duty activities as required

G) Measures, analyzes, and adjusts Factory Floor Layout/ Process Flows to achieve optimum manufacturing productivity as directed by Lean Manufacturing practices, subject to managerial approval.

H) Assists in the creation and updates of Standard Work Instructions for use by factory personnel, in compliance with design and quality specifications and FAA directives.

I) Participates in training shop personnel in new and/or updated processes, including Lean Manufacturing practices and improvement implementations.

J) Communicates design improvement ideas to engineering as required.

K) Investigates serious or recurrent production difficulties and delays due to such factors as faulty methods, tooling, operational sequences, or inadequate facilities or layouts.
