We are seeking an experienced Assistant Safety Coordinator to support site safety operations on a Data Center project in Gainesville, VA. This role will work closely with the Safety Manager and project leadership to ensure compliance with all safety standards during both excavation and structural erection phases. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in an active construction environment.

• Assist in implementing and enforcing site‑specific safety plans
• Conduct daily jobsite safety inspections and hazard assessments
• Support safety coordination during excavation and steel erection activities
• Facilitate toolbox talks and safety orientations
• Monitor subcontractor safety compliance and corrective actions
• Maintain safety documentation, reports, and incident logs
• Assist with incident investigations and corrective action tracking
• Promote a strong safety culture across all site personnel

• Minimum of 3 years of construction safety experience
• Proven experience supporting safety operations during excavation and erection phases
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety practices
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑activity jobsite environment
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• OSHA 30 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
