Preschool Assistant Teacher | Year-Round

We are seeking dedicated, energetic, and adaptable Assistant Teachers & Substitutes (Seasonal and Year round) to join our educational team. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for working with young children, particularly those with experience in private school settings or early childhood education.

Our Substitute position is ideal for Education Majors looking for flexible work either during the school year or over the summer.

Duties

• Support the Teacher to implement lesson plans and educational activities as outlined.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents to ensure clarity of expectations and objectives.
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs.
• Assist in curriculum development by providing feedback on lesson effectiveness and student engagement.
• Foster an inclusive atmosphere that supports students.
• Supervise students during classroom activities, ensuring safety and adherence to school policies.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, interactions and learning as required.

Requirements

• Experience in classroom management is a plus, but not required.
• Background or knowledge in early childhood education or Montessori methods is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Previous experience in private school settings or daycare environments is a plus.
• A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
