Customer Service Rep
Responsibilities
Part‑time position that processes, packages, and stocks meat products according to Meat Standards, cleans work areas, provides customer service during unloading stock, and reloads salvage. Performs duties of seafood clerk when assigned.
Qualifications- Exceptional interpersonal skills and willingness to complete required training.
- High school diploma or GED, or 1‑3 months related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions and correspondence in English; ability to present information to customers, vendors, and associates.
- Basic mathematics: add and subtract two‑digit numbers and apply operations using units of American money and weight measurement.
- Reasoning ability: apply common sense to detailed written or oral instructions; solve problems with a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Completion of company training, including new hire orientation, food sanitation, customer service network, safety, food safety, and product knowledge.
- Minimum age 18 years.
Requires standing, walking, using hands to handle items, reaching, climbing or balancing occasionally, and lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Requires good vision, color perception, and depth perception.
Work EnvironmentCool environment with temperatures 34-36 °F, wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or chemicals, extreme cold, and moderate to loud noise.
Compensation- Pay ranges from $14.25 to $20.50 per hour for new hires, based on experience and skill level.
Eligible for Harris Teeter group benefit plans after applicable waiting periods, subject to plan terms and company policy.
