Data Center Project Manager

Location: Gainesville, VA (On-site / Project-based travel)

The Data Center Project Manager at Solutionz, Inc. is responsible for delivering mission-critical technology integration projects within data center environments. This role leads the execution of structured cabling, security systems, low-voltage infrastructure, AV, and critical communications scope across new builds, expansions, and retrofits. The PM owns schedule, budget, scope, safety, and client coordination while ensuring Solutionz’ standards of quality and execution are met.

• Manage end-to-end delivery of data center integration projects (low-voltage, structured cabling, security, DAS, control systems, AV where applicable)
• Own project scope, schedule, budget, and change management
• Coordinate with data center owners, general contractors, MEP trades, commissioning teams, and internal Solutionz field teams
• Develop project plans, schedules, manpower forecasts, and procurement plans
• Lead jobsite meetings, progress updates, and client communications
• Ensure compliance with data center standards, site access protocols, and safety requirements
• Oversee submittals, RFIs, change orders, and close-out documentation
• Drive quality control and ensure installations meet specifications and testing standards
• Support commissioning, testing, and turnover to client operations teams
• Identify risks early and drive mitigation plans

• 5+ years of project management experience in data centers, mission-critical, structured cabling, security, or low-voltage integration
• Experience managing technology infrastructure projects in live or operational data center environments
• Strong understanding of construction coordination with GC, electrical, and mechanical trades
• Proven experience managing schedules, budgets, and subcontractors
• Strong client-facing communication and documentation skills
• Proficiency with PM tools (Procore, MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar)
• Willingness to travel to regional data center sites

• Experience with hyperscale, colocation, or enterprise data center clients
• Familiarity with BICSI standards, TIA/EIA cabling standards, and data center best practices
• PMP or similar project management certification
• Background in security systems (Lenel, Genetec), structured cabling, or critical communications
• Experience managing large multi-site programs
