Opportunity
The Electronics Technician III provides advanced technical support for security communications equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Supports U.S. Department of State requirements in multiple overseas theaters in potentially high‑threat environments.
- During overseas deployments, the Electronics Technician III may be required to rotate between theaters and to multiple locations within each theater.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and testing of electronic components and systems.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure full operational readiness.
- Document maintenance actions, test results, and parts usage in accordance with contract requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, quality assurance procedures, and security protocols.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Must have active Top Secret or higher Security clearance
- Minimum five (5) years of technical experience in the technical support for modern commercial and tactical radio systems
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing analog and digital electronic circuits
- Ability to read and interpret complex schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Familiarity with radio repeater systems and their electronic subsystems
- Excellent writing and verbal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows operating systems and office automation software (e.g., Microsoft Office, SharePoint)
- Self‑motivation and the ability to work effectively under minimal supervision.
- Ability to interact with all levels of an organization in a professional, diplomatic, and tactful manner.
- Good (positive) attitude and ability to work as a member of a cohesive team.
- Ability to multi‑task efficiently, work in a fast‑paced environment on multiple projects, and have strong attention to detail.

- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents.

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and use handheld or power tools to install equipment.
- Ability to work in austere or abnormal environmental conditions.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time, including extended periods of standing, walking, and navigating airports or government facilities.
- Position may require deployment up to 50% of the calendar year in high-threat or high-risk environments across multiple locations.
- Domestic assignments, including several months in the Washington, D.C. metro area for training and program support, may be required prior to overseas deployment.
- Must be willing to serve in positions worldwide, including both domestic and overseas assignments.
