Assistant Store Manager - Wine Sales

About the Role

As an Assistant Store Manager, you will help grow the company brand by delivering best‑in‑class service and creating a distinctive atmosphere for customers of adult beverages and more. You will support store operations and help build a sales and service culture to expand the customer base and maximize profitability.

• Drive sales and deliver against key performance metrics (KPMs).
• Assist in recruiting, training, and leading the store team, including ongoing development to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
• Support day‑to‑day operations, including payroll, inventory, merchandising, and shrink.
• Deliver outstanding customer service by leading by example, fostering a welcoming and knowledgeable store atmosphere, and resolving customer issues.
• Help maintain vendor relationships to support store and inventory objectives.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations related to the sale of alcohol and maintain a safe and compliant store environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• 1‑3 years of work experience, with at least 2+ years in a managerial or supervisory role in a retail setting.
• Experience leading, motivating, and developing a sales‑focused team.
• Familiarity with point‑of‑sale systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as business requires, including evenings and weekends.

Must be 21 years of age or older. Walk, bend down repeatedly, and be on feet for 8‑10 hours a day. Ability to safely lift, load, and handle cases and pallets, climb ladders, and lift 50 lbs. overhead repeatedly. May be exposed to varying outdoor weather conditions throughout the workday.

Worker Type:
Regular. Pay Range: $25.52 - $36.75 hourly. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Compensation may vary based on location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
