Job Summary
This position is one of prevention of crime against the Prince William County School system rather than investigation and apprehension; however, the security assistant will investigate school incidents by talking with students to determine specifics about what happened. The position is responsible for the safety and security of an assigned school, including patrolling parking lots, school entryways and hallways, and providing security of the premises to protect students, staff, and property.
RequirementsAn essential function of this position is the ability to work in person and physically report for work on site.
This position requires a full background investigation conducted by the Security and Crisis Readiness Department.
7.5 hours/day.
This position is for the 2026-27 school year with an anticipated start date of August 12, 2026.
