Job Summary
Responsible for specialized warehouse tasks such as loading, unloading, order pulling, shipping, returns, forklift operation, fabrication, counter duties, and delivering product to customers when needed. The position requires operating a company vehicle with a gross vehicle weight between 10,001 and 26,001 pounds, and may be required during the average work week. Candidates will be required to provide a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report;
an acceptable MVR is a prerequisite for this role.
- Completes tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, picking, stocking, staging, fabrication, and transportation of goods. May be required to carry heavy merchandise (50‑300 pounds) up and down stairs using body straps or furniture dollies.
- Checks items against purchase orders and packing slips and reports shortages, damages, and other discrepancies.
- Files orders for delivery; places supplies and equipment in proper storage.
- Operates forklift or other machinery to complete tasks.
- Drives company vehicles to pick up incoming stock or deliver materials to designated locations; serves as an emergency driver when needed (non‑CDL).
- Performs required inspections of vehicle and supplies to ensure road safety.
- Prepares and maintains records in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Selects correct processes from clearly prescribed rules, past practices, or instruction; seeks advice and guidance from a supervisor on non‑routine issues, and obtains clearance for deviations.
- Works under close supervision, exercising limited independent judgment; tasks are typically reviewed in detail by a senior coworker or supervisor.
- Typically located in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes.
- Requires intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material or equipment that may be heavy (50+ pounds) or awkward.
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred. 0‑2 years of experience in a relevant area preferred.
Preferred QualificationsHours for this position are: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM (Monday – Friday).
- Valid driver’s license from state of residence.
- Knowledge of warehouse procedures, requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, and delivery documents.
