Job DetailsWe are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Manager to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. This is a role where you will be responsible for overseeing the entire accounts payable operations, ensuring timely and accurate month-end close procedures. This position will provide you with an opportunity to showcase your skills in a high volume, fast-paced environment while contributing to the financial health of our organization.
Responsibilities- 1. Overseeing the daily operations of the accounts payable department and ensuring all financial transactions are processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with company policies and GAAP.
- 2. Managing month-end closing of the accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- 3. Analyzing accounts payable data, identifying discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions.
- 4. Developing, implementing, and maintaining systems, procedures, and policies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the accounts payable function.
- 5. Training, coaching, and supervising accounts payable staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- 6. Preparing and presenting financial reports related to accounts payable to senior management.
- 7. Collaborating with other departments and stakeholders to resolve accounts payable issues.
- 8. Participating in the development of the annual budget and periodic forecast updates.
- 1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing high volume accounts payable in large-scale organizations. Experience in public or private equity backed organizations is preferred.
- 2. In-depth knowledge of accounts payable principles, GAAP, and financial reporting.
- 3. Strong management experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- 4. Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and Macros.
- 5. Experience with JD Edwards is a plus.
- 6. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- 7. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data.
- 8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- 9. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
