Administrative Assistant Executive – District 2 – Kent County

OverviewThis temporary position provides administrative support to the District Engineer for District 2, coordinating projects and ensuring timely completion of tasks across traffic, construction, maintenance, utilities, engineering systems, and administration. The role manages communications with internal and external stakeholders across five counties.
Responsibilities- Coordinate activities and schedule for the District Engineer and senior support staff.
- Plan and implement office operations to maintain continuous daily workflow.
- Manage communications related to projects, programs, and associated issues.
- Ensure target dates for completed work are met.
- Serve as primary liaison with internal departments and external parties.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Minimum five years of secretarial work; or equivalent experience in secretarial or clerical roles.
- Associate of Arts degree in Secretarial Science may substitute up to two years of experience.
- U.S. Armed Forces military service may substitute education and experience on a year‑for‑year basis.
- Valid Maryland motor vehicle operator’s license with less than four points.
- Bilingual applicants encouraged (if applicable).
This is a temporary position that may offer paid leave and partially subsidized state health benefits. Termination may occur at any time during the state/closing or holiday periods.
