The Role:
Built for Safety & Impact
This is a foundational hire for our safety team—and it's intentionally hands‑on. The Safety Manager will lead site safety efforts across commercial construction projects, ensuring compliance, preventing incidents, and promoting a strong safety culture company‑wide.
You’ll turn safety strategy into real‑world practices—on the ground, in training rooms, and through internal systems. No two weeks will look the same—and that's by design. You’ll have the opportunity to shape how safety supports operations from the ground up.
You’ll work closely with project managers, field teams, and senior leadership to ensure every safety initiative drives accountability and protects what matters most—our people. This role is ideal for a proactive safety professional who thrives on ownership, variety, and real results in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all site safety planning, JSAs, and pre‑task planning
- Conduct routine and unannounced site inspections to ensure compliance
- Collaborate with field teams to coach safe practices, especially those working at heights
- Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures
- Ensure company compliance with OSHA, California safety laws, and internal safety protocols
- Support project safety through job hazard analysis and proactive safety planning
- Maintain accurate documentation using Salesforce or similar tracking tools
What you Bring
- Minimum 5 years in a Safety Coordinator or Manager role in commercial construction
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations and California state standards
- Experience working with crews performing high‑risk tasks (i.e. working at heights)
- OSHA 500 Certification – Required
- Bilingual in Spanish and English – Required (Written & Verbal)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong communication and leadership skills with a hands‑on approach
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Safety, Engineering, or related field
- Commercial roofing or similar experience in high‑risk construction environments
- Authorized OSHA Trainer (preferred)
Why Join Us
