SummaryUnder the direction of the principal, the Special Education Para educator provides targeted, evidence-based instruction and interventions to students with diverse learning needs in K–5 within a Title I school. The position focuses on accelerating academic development in math and literacy, closing achievement gaps, and supporting individualized education program (IEP) goals. The para educator delivers highly structured individual or small‑group instruction, closely analyzes student performance data to tailor lessons, assists with academic progress monitoring, prepares instructional materials, supports classroom management, and monitors students during lunch and recess daily.
Key Responsibilities- Provide targeted instruction and interventions for special‑education students.
- Accelerate academic development in math and literacy, supporting IEP goals.
- Deliver highly structured individual or small‑group instruction.
- Analyze student performance data to tailor lessons.
- Assist with academic progress monitoring and prepare instructional materials.
- Support classroom management and supervise students during lunch and recess.
- Assist teachers during temporary absences.
- Knowledge of child development, instructional strategies, and policies.
- Ability to assist implementation of instructional programs and monitor student behavior.
- Patient behavior, effective communication with students, staff, and parents.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with standard computer hardware and software (Google Workspace, MS Office, web‑based tools).
- Ability to learn and meet the seven core competencies of the Supporting Services Professional Growth System.

Special Requirements
Frequent bending, walking, and lifting up to 50 lb may be required. Outside duty may be required. Must accommodate flexible scheduling and location changes. Continues planned instructional activities during teacher’s temporary absence.
Job Details- Job grade: 13‑14 (optimum).
