We are looking for a Co‑Director to help the Director in this actively growing center. The ultimate candidate will have a desire to stay long term and eventually move up to Director of this center.
Looking for a highly energetic and enthusiastic individual to assist in running our Severna Park, MD Mathnasium location! If you would like to play a part in shaping the minds of the next generation this is an awesome opportunity for you.
Core Responsibilities- Assist in client satisfaction to improve retention of existing enrolled families.
- Oversee and ensure the educational progress of enrolled students, managing learning plans for current students.
- Manage and train all center staff, ensuring best practices are being utilized.
- Build relationships with the community through events both inside the center and in the surrounding community.
- Full‑time position. Shift schedule includes Monday through Thursday between 11:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., and Friday and Saturday between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. All hours do not have to be covered, but duties will be required to be performed within these hours.
- Support the Center Director in administering student assessments and developing student learning plans.
- Assist with sales responsibilities, including promptly responding to leads and successfully enrolling students.
- Provide exceptional customer service by building relationships with families and communicating student progress.
- Lead and coach team members to effectively deliver individualized instruction in a group setting.
- Manage students’ learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions.
- Mentor and support employee development by providing on‑the‑job training to instructional staff.
- Teach or tutor in‑center, online, or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices.
- Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes.
- Support the maintenance of a safe and professional learning environment.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed.
- Passion for math and working with students.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Learning center experience is preferred.
- College degree (or candidate seeking a degree) required.
- Eagerness to learn and be trained.
- Ability to cultivate teamwork and balance education and sales responsibilities.
- Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I (pre‑calculus and calculus knowledge is a plus).
- Proficiency in computer skills.
All applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency, provide work authorization, and pass a background check.
