Part‑Time Physical Education Teacher

Position: Part‑time Physical Education Teacher (10‑month, 14 hours per week, 2026–2027 academic year)

Location: Fulton, MD 20759, USA

Job Summary: St. Francis of Assisi School, located in Baltimore, MD, seeks a part‑time Physical Education Teacher. The teacher will deliver a comprehensive academic and physical experience for grade‑school students using the Archdiocesan and State of Maryland Physical Education curriculum.

• Maintain high professional standards in line with the mission of the school and the teaching of the Catholic Church.
• Plan and implement instructional programs with clear objectives aligned to Archdiocese of Baltimore and State of Maryland Standards.
• Create an instructional environment conducive to learning.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development in a timely manner.
• Teach physical fitness, individual and team sports, utilizing appropriate learning activities.
• Motivate each student to cultivate physical fitness and appropriate social and emotional adjustment that discovers and develops talents in physical achievement.
• Communicate standards, achievements, and deficiencies to students and parents through email, phone calls, conferences, and electronic grade book.
• Ensure the safety and active supervision of students both in and outside the classroom.

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• MSDE Certification or willingness to obtain certification required.
• Classroom teaching experience preferred.
• Proficient in using a variety of technology.

Pay Range: $6,174.00 – $7,056.00 annually (10‑month position/14 hours per week)
