Project/CAM Helper – Federal Aviation Administration ERAM

Leidos is seeking a Project/CAM Helper who will lead a dynamic team working on the Federal Aviation Administration’s En‑Route Automation Modernization (ERAM) technology, the heart of the Next Generation Air Transportation System. ERAM is vital to the future of air navigation, providing the foundational platform required for FAA to enable Next Gen solutions via modernization programs such as System Wide Information Management, Data Communications, and Automatic Dependent Surveillance‑Broadcast.

• Real‑Time Programming on High Availability Systems
• Multi‑threaded programming
• Low Level Operating Systems Customization (Red Hat, AIX)
• Low level communication software (TCP‑IP, UDP, SCTP)
• Support of Common Services utilized by ERAM Application teams
• System Maintenance Concepts

• Support Control Account Management (CAM) proposal and change order activities, providing technical team support.
• Provide weekly schedule status and monthly cost/estimates, with full analysis and status updates.
• Provide variance analysis and reports/explanations for Baseline Change Requests (BCRs) and ongoing miscellaneous CAM requests.
• Estimate workload and manpower planning activities, authoring Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and supporting department business needs on the program (proposals, task order preparation).
• Engineer planning tasks, meeting deadlines, milestones, and task sequencing.
• Support Engineering Scrum Masters and leads, managing JIRA entries and team updates.

• Bachelor of Science degree and minimum 4+ years of relevant prior experience, or Master’s degree with 2+ years of relevant prior experience.
• Software engineering technical leadership experience with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrated understanding of full software development life cycle.
• Experience with control account management (CAM), cost accounting, earned value management (EVMS).
• Experience with planning and cost estimating experience with either SE or SW process, process improvement, SE/SW metrics tracking and affordability initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to multi‑task background and application experience with Software engineering.
• Proven experience supporting highly critical customer missions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, commitment to personal and corporate excellence, ethical behavior and integrity.
• Experience with execution under Waterfall and/or Agile development methodologies.
• Familiarity with the National Air Space and FAA Next Gen Air Traffic control programs is desired but not required.

Gaithersburg, Maryland – Hybrid Remote (Full Time, 10% travel required).

$73,450.00 – $ (general guideline).
