The UAS Red Air Pilot will be responsible for operating unmanned aerial systems to perform Red Air simulation duties in support of military training and testing operations. This is a full-time on-site role located in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. Day-to-day activities include planning flight operations, piloting UAS platforms, conducting pre-flight and post-flight checks, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and collaborating with team members to achieve mission objectives.
Qualifications- Proficiency in operating unmanned aerial systems and executing Red Air simulations
- Experience in flight operations planning and adhering to aviation safety protocols
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in dynamic environments
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Previous military or aviation experience is a plus
- Relevant certifications or licenses for unmanned aircraft systems operation
- Ability to work on-site at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, and meet required security clearance
- Ability to deploy OCONUS for up to 6 months.
