Project Manager – high‑profile leadership role in Water & Wastewater. Responsible for managing the successful delivery of multi‑million‑dollar water infrastructure projects and serving as part of the Washington D.C. collaborative team.
Responsibilities- Prospect identification, proposal development, proposal preparation, client presentations, project budgeting and contracting for successful opportunities.
- Accountable for new business objectives and overall project performance.
- Maintain external client relationships, promote Black & Veatch through client and community activities.
- Support development of the overall market business plan, market strategies, and client engagement strategies.
- Oversight of engineering manager(s); develop project performance goals and ensure implementation.
- Active involvement with internal project team and owner project representatives on project activities.
- Perform or assist with project performance and commercial management, including budgeting, invoicing, payments, and lead project performance reviews.
- Team development, mentoring, and coaching; recommend training and promotion; develop new candidates.
- 15+ years of active water/wastewater experience with demonstrated leadership in the DC market.
- Professional Engineering License;
Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline. - Understanding of budgets and financial metrics.
- Contract negotiation skills, including knowledge of terms, risks, pricing, and payment terms.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Ability to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements, including background check, drug screen, and motor‑vehicle records search.
