A Senior Systems Engineer will join an agile team using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). The candidate will design and develop new capabilities for complex systems, handling architecture, design, development, requirements analysis, data flow, network design, testing, and documentation. The role includes risk assessments, alternatives analysis, and creating test procedures.

• Provide guidance and support for system engineering of large‑scale systems and interfacing systems within a geographically distributed network environment.
• Offer technical guidance for future system enhancements and design.
• Update system engineering documentation.
• Perform Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) or similar evaluation methodologies.
• Interface with program management, integration engineers, test engineers, and assurance engineers in an agile environment.
• Develop and implement system engineering practices with appropriate rigor.
• Communicate and collaborate with internal technical professionals and customer representatives as needed.
• Participate in program increment planning and related agile team activities.
• Provide hands‑on technical assistance for data gathering and auditing across multiple data centers.

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering Science, Computer Science, or a related field with at least 8 years of experience, or a Master's degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
• In‑depth experience in system architecture, design, development, requirements analysis, data flow design, network design, testing, and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with data center and server room environments, including rack‑based servers, network switches, KVMs, routers, backup and recovery devices, firewalls, and security appliances.
• 1‑3 years of experience with infrastructure components (servers, switches, firewalls, and other enterprise infrastructure hardware).
• At least 5 years of experience designing, building, and integrating large complex system architectures.
• Requirements verification traceability experience.
• Experience analyzing user requirements, system architecture, and system requirements specifications.
• Experience in discovery, research, and analysis for hardware and software transitions.
• Experience gathering information related to the lifecycle of equipment and software.
• Solid understanding of secure systems engineering and development.
• Comfortable working on multiple systems and components simultaneously in various configurations.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and communicate technical options and trade‑offs clearly.
• Capability to perform systems engineering activities in support of agile teams on a large program.
• Commitment to adopting, adhering to, and championing best practices.

• Experience transitioning legacy systems to new architectures.
• Experience with model‑based systems engineering.
• Experience with risk management and risk registers.
• Experience with SAFe methodology or active participation in an agile team.
• Experience administering Windows Server and Linux Server platforms.

Clearance Required:
Must have TS/SCI with Polygraph.
