Part Time Security Officer Sunday 1pm - 5pm

The Security Officer for ParkX Management ensures that the facility runs smoothly, safely, cleanly, and provides a good experience for residents, tenants, and guests.

• Complete hourly patrol route of the property using the security system
• Access control for guests, tenants, and vendors
• Ensure property is not damaged
• Conduct routine foot patrols in and around the building
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Observe and report safety issues
• Issue banning notices to rule violators
• Maintain file for ban notices and notify management when necessary
• Maintain appearance of the two plaza kiosks
• Enforce “no dogs on the plaza” policy
• Keep updated information (e.g., Kiss N Ride, contact phone numbers, rules of conduct) and communicate to guests as needed
• Report any unknown work occurring at the property to management
• Notify management if anyone parks illegally on the plaza
• Communicate to guests that fire access areas must remain accessible for fire trucks and ambulances
• Close loading dock doors as needed
• Report any concerns to management
• Assist the marketing team before, during, and after events at Reston and Loudoun Station
• Manage the valet at Reston Station; ensure cars are not parked on the plaza or on the down ramp
• For special events at Reston Station, ensure the plaza marketing plan is followed
• Manage traffic coming onto the plaza at Reston Station and keep it moving

• High school diploma
• Must be a certified security officer by the state of Virginia
• At least 1 year of experience in a customer‑service related field
• Valid driver’s license without major violations
• Flexibility to work after hours and weekends, as needed
• Outgoing personality with ability to relate to a diverse group of people and build/maintain strong relationships

• Work under variable temperature conditions (or extreme heat or cold), variable noise levels, indoors/outdoors, fumes and/or hazards, dust and/or mite hazards, chemicals and bio‑hazards

Compensation: $18–$19 USD per hour (average). The wage range is an estimate and may vary based on experience, qualifications, and other factors.
