The MAA is currently accepting applications for the position of Airport Contract Administrator II within the Office Contract Support at the Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI Marshall Airport).
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:- Managing, budget oversight, and contract administration of large, complex and highly technical maintenance, service and environmental contracts.
- Coordinating and overseeing contractual services to include inspection and monitoring of work quality, quantity, and performance to ensure contractor’s work is in accordance with contract specifications and requirements.
- Developing and maintaining cost projections, track expenses monthly against budget authorizations, and make recommendations for funds needed to support existing and future contracts.
- Reviewing and approving contractor/supplier invoices to ensure work performance is within authorized budget and spending limits.
- Ensuring contractual, regulatory and general compliance with established directives, policies, procedures and regulations.
- Providing recommendations for contract restructuring to improve maintenance practices, policies to achieve Administration objectives, and use judgement to solve complex and unusual problems.
- Acting as the Administration’s liaison between contractors and the airport stakeholders for contracted services.
- Communicating, negotiating and finding solutions to resolve problems and complaints while developing and maintaining a good working relationship between the airport tenants, contractor and the Administration, while remaining within the guidelines and specifications of the contract.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Seven years of professional experience in contract administration and management or procurement involving duties such as: soliciting, evaluating, negotiating, awarding and administering contracts and ensuring compliance with governmental contract and procurement laws, regulations and procedures.
* This experience must include three years of experience performing contract management and administration for maintenance and/or operations contracts in an airport environment or large facility.
OR
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and three years of professional experience in contract administration and management or procurement involving duties such as: soliciting, evaluating, negotiating, awarding and administering contracts and ensuring compliance with governmental contract and procurement laws, regulations and procedures.
