Job Description

Golden Pond Adult Day Program is seeking to hire a Program Assistant to work on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Program Assistants are responsible for:

• Providing assistance to participants including personal care
• Working with medical day care staff members in order to effectively implement and carry out organized services and activities to meet the needs of each participant
• Serving meals
• Feeding participants as needed
• Assisting with transporting and escorting participants to, from and within the day care facility as needed
• Assist with toileting participants as needed
• Observing participants and immediately reporting any changes in their condition to the nurse
• Using universal precautions when caring for participants to prevent the spread of infection
• Taking care to prevent the breakdown of participant’s skin
• Assisting with program activities
• Daily straightening of supply storage areas and activity areas after use
• Assist participants on and off the van
• Assist participants with ambulation as needed

Interested applicants must be high school graduates or have their GED and be able to pass a criminal background check. CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
