We’re a fast‑growing Managed Service Provider that has been supporting small and mid‑sized businesses in the DC/Maryland region since 2005
. Our team delivers dependable IT support, proactive network management, and modern cloud solutions. As we expand, we’re looking for a technical professional who’s ready to move beyond basic help desk work and take real ownership of system administration and project‑level responsibilities.
We are specifically seeking experienced candidates who can operate at a higher technical level; this role is not intended for entry‑level applicants.
This is a hands‑on, client‑facing role for someone who enjoys solving complex problems and improving infrastructure—not just closing tickets. The position is mostly remote, but will require local onsite visits as needed for IT services, hardware work, and in‑person client or team meetings

We are seeking candidates located within reasonable commuting distance of our Gaithersburg, MD office
, as availability for timely onsite presence is an important part of supporting our partners effectively.
You’ll handle escalations, manage servers and cloud environments, and contribute to projects that strengthen our clients’ IT foundations. We’re looking for someone who can operate at a higher level and help reduce the bottleneck of advanced work falling on a single engineer.
Key Responsibilities- Resolve escalated support issues across Windows, macOS, Office 365, and networking.
- Administer and maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP.
- Manage Microsoft 365, Azure, SharePoint, and related cloud services.
- Configure and support firewalls, switches, VPNs, and network security.
- Implement and maintain security best practices, including MFA, conditional access, endpoint protection, and security monitoring.
- Assist with security audits, vulnerability remediation, and compliance‑related tasks.
- Oversee patching, backups, monitoring, and automation through RMM tools.
- Create and maintain documentation, SOPs, and technical standards.
- Participate in infrastructure projects such as migrations, upgrades, and deployments.
- 3+ years of IT support experience, including 3+ years in system or network administration.
- MSP or multi‑client environment experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (firewalls, VLANs, VPNs).
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA Network+/Security+, Microsoft, Cisco) are a plus.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and communicate clearly with clients.
