Position Title:
IT SDLC Project Manager
Duration: 12+ Months Contract work with huge possible extension
Work Location:
(Remote) Client in Short Hills, NJ
Candidate must have migrated Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket from Data Center to Cloud
Responsibilities- Develop and manage project plans, including scope, budget, timeline, and resource allocation
- Coordinate and lead project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize potential issues
- Monitor project progress, track milestones, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders
- Conduct project evaluations and post-implementation reviews to identify areas for improvement
- Ensure adherence to project management best practices and industry standards
- Foster a positive team environment, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within projects
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold the firm’s respectful and courteous work environment
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in SDLC and Project Management roles combined
- In-depth knowledge of Atlassian products, including Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket
- Experience in configuring and integrating Atlassian applications with each other
- Familiarity with Atlassian Cloud offerings and differences between Data Center and Cloud instances
- Proven experience in migrating Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket from Data Center to Cloud
- Ability to manage end-to-end migration projects, including assessment, planning, execution, and testing, with experience in managing large-scale IT projects
- Experience in troubleshooting, resolving migration issues, and optimizing performance post-migration and upgrade/manage plugins
- Familiarity with data migration tools and techniques, understanding data security and compliance requirements
- Experience in automating Jira processes using the Script Runner plugin and proficiency in Groovy scripting for custom Jira automation and enhancements
- Skills in implementing organizational change management strategies to ensure user adoption post-migration
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and how they can be applied to project management and Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and its various models
