Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy secure authentication and authorization solutions using Okta.
- Configure and manage Okta integrations with various on-premises and cloud-based applications.
- Establish and maintain Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Adaptive Authentication policies.
- Work closely with IT security to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation related to Okta configurations and processes.
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for Okta-related issues and act as a point of escalation for the help desk team.
- Conduct regular system audits to ensure the integrity and security of Okta configurations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Stay up to date with the latest Okta features and technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
- Participate in the creation and delivery of Okta training materials for end-users and IT staff.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with Okta or similar IAM platforms.
- Knowledge of API usage and management.
- Must have Okta certifications (e.g., Okta Certified Administrator, Okta Certified Consultant).
- Experience with directory services such as Active Directory, Entra LDAP.
- Knowledge of IT security best practices and familiarity with compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Familiarity with Okta Workflows.
- Hands‑on experience performing upgrade from Okta Classic version to OIE version.
- Experience with other security technologies such as firewalls, endpoint protection, and SIEM tools.
- Solid understanding of IAM concepts including identity lifecycle management, SSO, MFA, and directory services.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Power Shell) for automation of tasks and integration purposes.
- Familiarity with identity standards such as SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
