Job DescriptionSupport the ISSM in maintaining the appropriate operational IA posture for a system, program, or enclave; assist in maintaining operational security postures; provide technical and non‑technical support to the Government on system security matters; manage security aspects and perform day‑to‑day security operations; develop and update system security policy and plans; support and implement IT security programs and policies; provide configuration management for security‑relevant information system software, hardware, and firmware.
Responsibilities- Provides support to the ISSM for maintaining the appropriate operational IA posture for a system, program, or enclave.
- Assists in maintaining appropriate operational security posture for an information system or program.
- Provides support to the Government on all matters (technical and otherwise) involving the security of the information system.
- Assists with the management of security aspects of the information system and performs day‑to‑day security operations of the system.
- Assists in the development of the system security policy and ensures compliance with that policy on a routine basis.
- Develops and updates the system security plan, as well as managing and controlling changes to the system and assessing the security impact of those changes.
- Provides support to plan, coordinate, and implement IT security programs and policies.
- Provides configuration management for security‑relevant information system software, hardware, and firmware.
- B.S. in a related field and 10 years of experience.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or IT Engineering may be substituted for four years of experience; substitution of work experience is at the discretion of the COR.
- DoD 8570 compliance with Level III Information Assurance Technology.
