Job Description
The Project Manager will be responsible for the day‑to‑day management of healthcare interfaces, including creation, localization, deployment and cutover activities. The candidate should have strong project management skills and proven ability to provide guidance from both functional and technical perspectives. The role requires independently driving work forward, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and raising issues/risks as appropriate.
Key responsibilities include overseeing and managing the schedule, facilitating meetings, assisting other teams, documenting deployment risks, and creating change requests related to interface creation and deployment. Responsibilities span project initiation, design, local connectivity coordination, interface engine configuration, solution build dependencies in Oracle Health Millennium Solution, configuration and unit testing, smoke testing, interface validation, code promotion to production, interface readiness reporting, production validation, dry runs, table‑top rehearsals, mock go‑live, go‑live, and go‑live staffing support.
The Project Manager is a central part of the overall clinical deployment effort for the VA OEHRM program, providing planning, strategic direction, and communications in support of the Release Manager and Delivery Lead for all interface deployment activities.
- Coordinate and complete projects on time, within budget and within scope
- Oversee all aspects of projects, including vendor coordination and communication
- Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor progress, and summarize status
- Prepare reports for upper management regarding project status
- Work directly with clients and vendors to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget
- Coordinate with the Release Manager to confirm integration scope and develop a repeatable process through cutover and deployment
- Coordinate with the interface and Oracle Health PMO on status reporting, updates to the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), and executive level presentations
- Coordinate with Integration Architects (IAs) and the Interface Deployment team regarding interface readiness for events such as Integration Validation
- Document, brief, and elevate risks and issues; plan and execute mitigation strategies
- Communicate defined processes and procedures to team members and ensure adherence
- Ensure timely and accurate updates for interface deployment status are documented in the tools utilized by the team for reporting status
- Create and maintain Interface JIRA backlog based on Agile delivery WBS
- Spend up to 25% travel within the DC metro area
Additional responsibilities include exercising independent judgment in guiding moderately complex activities involved in the successful implementation of an integrated business solution, ensuring project quality and timely delivery within budget to the customer’s satisfaction. The Project Manager analyzes business needs to help ensure Oracle’s solution meets the customer’s objectives, applies Oracle’s methodologies, policies, and procedures, and adheres to contractual obligations while minimizing risk and exposure.
The role also involves supporting new business opportunities, collaborating with consulting sales teams, and managing the scope of small projects and sub‑projects.
Certain US customer or client‑facing roles may be required to comply with applicable requirements, such as immunization and occupational health mandates. Candidates must be willing to work out of the Arlington, VA office 4 times per week.
Compensation and BenefitsUS Salary Range: $79,100 – $158,200 per year. Potential eligibility for bonus and equity.
