PositionDescription
LCG is seeking a Senior Dev Ops Engineer who will provide critical support in managing, maintaining, and developing IT applications and systems. This role is responsible for overseeing contract administrative tasks, managing SharePoint Online operations, supporting Power Platform and application development, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure the efficient delivery of IT services. The engineer will also play a key role in business analysis, governance, project management, and the development of new applications.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and host contract kick‑off meetings within 5 business days of award.
- Provide bi‑weekly status reports outlining operational milestones, planned activities, risks, and Service Desk metrics.
- Collaborate with other contractors to share knowledge, lessons learned, and strategies for task completion.
- Ensure 99% operational uptime for all OFR SharePoint sites, except in enterprise outages.
- Analyze and recommend strategies for deprecating unused SharePoint sites quarterly.
- Utilize SharePoint out‑of‑the‑box features to create custom forms, lists, document libraries, and more.
- Maintain and enhance existing applications using Power Apps, SharePoint, and Power Platform tools.
- Perform functional testing and update technical documentation for application modifications.
- Ensure compliance with Power Platform standards, creating solution‑based applications.
- Develop and maintain project roadmaps, schedules, and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
- Prepare and present briefings to stakeholders and CDC officials.
- Manage data, reporting, and infrastructure roadmaps, ensuring alignment with contract timelines.
- Participate in establishing SharePoint and Power Platform knowledge centers of excellence.
- Lead business analysis activities to gather and prioritize requirements.
- Prepare mock‑ups, diagrams, and documentation to support application development and upgrades.
- Provide reports and documentation for the Change Control Board (CCB) process, managing outcomes and addressing issues.
- Ensure compliance with CDC’s Enterprise Project Life Cycle (EPLC) and Change Control Board (CCB) processes.
- Produce project plans, requirement documents, design documents, and test plans aligned with governance standards.
- Use Power Platform, Power BI, Power Apps, and SharePoint development tools for new projects.
- Conduct requirements gathering sessions and develop all necessary application documentation.
- Design, test, deploy, and document new applications following CDC’s Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) standards.
- Provide support for web‑based content updates, creation, and digital property management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7‑10 years of experience in Dev Ops, systems engineering, or application development roles.
- Experience with SharePoint Online, Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate), and related technologies.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Dev Ops or similar tools for backlog management and sprint planning.
- Strong knowledge of IT governance processes, including the CDC Enterprise Project Life Cycle (EPLC) and Change Control Board (CCB).
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.
- Certifications in Power Platform, SharePoint, or Dev Ops tools.
- Experience in federal or healthcare IT environments, particularly within HHS or CDC.
- Familiarity with Section 508 compliance and IT security best practices.
