Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for resolving computer-related issues, ensuring smooth and efficient operation of all IT systems.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain devices and technology, including both networked and stand-alone computer systems.
- Perform software and hardware setup, installation, maintenance, diagnostics, replacements, and upgrades.
- Resolve technical issues in person, over the phone, or via remote access.
- Track and document issues and their resolutions using a ticketing system.
- Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN).
- User account and permissions management.
- Provide support for various operating systems, including Windows (primarily), macOS, and Linux.
- Ensure data security and backup procedures are followed.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to improve system performance and reliability.
- Stay updated with the latest technology trends and advancements.
- Advanced skills in working with and supporting computer hardware and software (i.e. Microsoft 365, GSuite, Dell, HP, etc.), preferably in a professional environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
- Organizational skills to manage hardware parts and components of various sizes.
- Physical ability to set up and take down equipment.
- Capability to lift significant weights (minimum of 1 pound up to 100 pounds).
- Positive and professional demeanor.
- Residency in or proximity to Baltimore City is a plus.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper‑V).
- Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on providing personalized solutions.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients and team members.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Problem‑solving mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
