Jovian Concepts, LLC is looking to hire a Systems Administrator Level 3 to support a mixed Linux/Windows environment for a great opportunity in the Annapolis Junction area. A current and active TS/SCI Clearance with a Polygraph from the MD Customer is required. No CCA's will be accepted at this time.
Responsibilities- Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems, managing IT system infrastructure and related processes.
- Deliver Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
- Support day‑to‑day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, and dispatch system.
- Configure and manage Linux and Windows operating systems, including installation, maintenance, and enhancement for reliability and performance.
- Optimize system operations, perform capacity analysis and planning.
- Assist users in accessing and using IT systems.
- Support design of systems, mission architecture, and associated hardware.
- Analyze and resolve complex problems related to server hardware, applications, and software integration.
- Maintain security procedures and tools, supporting SSP compliance and STE/STN compliance.
- Current and active TS/SCI Clearance with a Polygraph from the MD Customer; no CCA's accepted.
- Fifteen (15) years experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university; five (5) years additional SA experience may substitute for the degree.
- Compliance with DoD 8570 IAT Level 2;
Security+ CE or equivalent certification required. - Experience with Linux administration and Windows environments.
- Experience with cloud services (AWS); containerization (Proxmox virtualization); and automation tools (Ansible/SALT).
- Scripting experience with Bash, Perl, Python.
- Experience with CIFS and Centrify.
- Experience managing Windows domain controllers, servers, or Exchange.
- Proven experience with SSP compliance, maintaining STE/STN compliance on Linux systems.
- General application management and troubleshooting support.
- Working knowledge of system administration interdependencies within a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
