System Administrator

Position Overview

Amentum is seeking a System Administrator 2 to provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems. The role supports escalation, communication of status to agency management and internal customers, with a focus on PKI tools.

• Senior Tier level ticket support for PKI tools.
• Provide troubleshooting support for end users with PKI tool issues.
• Test new PKI tool releases.
• Test new compliance guidance related to PKI tool functionality.
• Basic understanding of Windows desktop tools and Linux command line functions.
• Review and update documentation and SOPs.
• Use ticketing system and navigate Confluence pages.
• Ensure safety compliance – complete training, fulfill self‑aid/buddy aid responsibilities, participate in emergency response tasks, and serve on safety committees and teams.
• Adhere to quality policies – meet customer expectations and comply with Amentum Quality System documents and customer contracts.
• Implement general and specific operational, safety, quality, and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures, and policies pertaining to the job.

• Minimum 10 years experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux as an end user.
• Good understanding of Windows desktop tools and Linux command line.
• Experience with ticketing systems and documentation platforms such as Confluence.
• Minimum educational requirement:
  Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (or 5 additional years of related experience for a total of 15 years).
• Clearance required:
  
  TS/SCI Poly.
• Certification:
  Compliance with DoD 8570.01‑M, minimum IAT Level II.

Salary range: $150,000 – $180,000. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.
