Senior Systems Engineer (Ansible Automation Platform / Hybrid Cloud)
The Senior Systems Engineer will design, implement, and maintain scalable automation solutions using the Ansible Automation Platform across a complex environment of 3,000+ servers spanning on‑premises and cloud platforms. The role requires expertise in infrastructure as code, configuration management, and systems reliability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Design, implement, and manage automation solutions using Ansible Automation Platform in a hybrid cloud environment
- Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and workflows to automate provisioning, configuration, patching, and deployment processes
- Manage and support infrastructure across 3,000+ servers (Linux/Windows) in both on‑premises data centers and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Integrate Ansible with CI/CD pipelines and enterprise tools (e.g., Service Now, Git, Jenkins)
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of automation systems
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance and automation workflows
- Enforce security best practices, compliance standards, and configuration consistency across all systems
- Collaborate with Dev Ops, Cloud, Security, and Application teams to streamline operations
- Document automation processes, system configurations, and operational procedures
- Mentor junior engineers and promote automation best practices across the organization
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, Dev Ops, or infrastructure automation
- Hands‑on experience implementing and managing Ansible Automation Platform at scale (1,000+ servers; 3,000+ preferred)
- Strong experience with Linux systems administration (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu);
Windows experience is a plus - Experience working in hybrid cloud environments (on-prem + AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Proficiency with infrastructure as code and configuration management principles
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or Power Shell)
- Experience installing, configuring, and upgrading Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP)
- Experience with container platforms (Kubernetes, Open Shift, Docker)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Azure Dev Ops)
- Knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, etc.)
- Experience with ITSM integrations (e.g., Service Now)
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Ansible Automation certification
- Experience with security hardening and compliance frameworks (CIS, NIST, etc.)
- Experience with federal contracting

- Transform data in Tableau (e.g., Level of Detail (LOD) expressions), joining, and querying datasets using Tableau's interface with mentorship provided
- Create interactive dashboards that may include hyperlinked tooltips, buttons, and parameters
- Meet with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand business processes that will inform/impact the creation of dashboards
