Systems Administrator; TS​/SCI Clearance Required agreement to obtain CI Poly

North Point Technology is looking to hire a Systems Administrator / Help Desk Engineer to support a cutting‑edge Agile software development program for an Intelligence Community customer. The qualified candidate must have an active TS/SCI security clearance and will ensure the stability, security, and performance of the cloud and on‑premises environments that enable mission users and Agile teams. The ideal candidate has deep technical expertise across Linux and Windows systems, thrives on solving complex infrastructure challenges, and delivers responsive support in a fast‑paced, classified environment.

This role requires committing to either a morning shift starting at 6 AM EST or an evening shift ending at 10 PM EST.

• Lead systems operations and ensure the availability, reliability, and security of infrastructure supporting geospatial analytics, software development, and data services.
• Administer Linux and Windows‑based systems; diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and end‑user issues while managing support tickets through resolution.
• Architect and manage server, storage, and virtualization infrastructure (VMware, KVM).
• Perform OS installation, configuration, hardening, and patching in compliance with DoD STIGs.
• Monitor and tune system performance through root‑cause analysis.
• Maintain automation scripts and infrastructure as code (Ansible, Power Shell, Bash).
• Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
• Maintain system documentation and configuration baselines.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, network engineering, and software development teams.
• Lead deployment of system enhancements and modernization initiatives.
• Participate in security audits, incident response, and operational readiness activities.

• Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux or CentOS) and Windows Server system administration.
• Architecting and managing server, storage, and virtualization infrastructure (VMware, KVM).
• Automation and scripting with Ansible, Bash, Power Shell, and Python.
• Cloud platforms (AWS Gov Cloud, Azure Government) and hybrid cloud environments.
• STIG compliance, system hardening, ACAS scans, and RMF processes.
• Enterprise networking, identity/access management, and storage concepts.
• Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and end‑user issues and managing support tickets through resolution.
• Supporting IC or DoD classified environments.

• Experience supporting GEOINT missions.
• Dev Ops tools and pipelines (Git, Jenkins, Docker).
• Enterprise backup and recovery solutions.
• DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and PKI.

• Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) security clearance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II or III certification (e.g., Security+, CASP+, CISSP).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
