Daily Responsibilities- Configuring, updating, and administering systems running Linux systems.
- Applying NIST configuration scripts to Linux systems and resolving any configuration issues so systems are compliant to NIST security requirements.
- Maintaining security updates on Linux systems.
- Assisting with configuring, updating, and administering Biometric Research Lab (BRL) networks and storage systems.
- Maintaining updated BRL documentation on configurations and processes as performed.
- Ten years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university in Computer Science
- 10 years of general system and software engineering.
- 5 years of experience:
Configuring and administering Linux operating systems (Ubuntu Pro required) including security settings. Administering and running biometric technology evaluations. - 10 years of experience maintaining system security configurations to meet requirements for operational environments.
