Own transaction execution from purchase order to final delivery across Matium’s institutional spot marketplace. You will manage freight coordination, carrier relationships, and shipment visibility to ensure every verified trade settles cleanly and on time.

Founded in 2021 by a former plastics trader and his cousin, Matium is building the digital ecosystem for manufacturers, producers, recyclers, distributors, and traders of raw materials to transact directly with one another. What started in plastics has grown into a rapidly expanding network of over 900 companies — including industry leaders transacting hundreds of millions of pounds of material through the platform.

In 2026, Matium is expanding beyond plastics into adjacent markets including paper, metals, and industrial packaging. Matium combines a private CRM/ERP, a verified trading network, a peer-to-peer marketplace with AI-powered matchmaking and auction capabilities, automated freight booking, and embedded transaction financing. Companies can join and trade for free, with premium offerings designed to either fully automate deal execution (“Verified”) or empower internal teams with market intelligence and workflow optimization (“Intelligence”).

At its core, Matium exists to modernize how raw materials move — reducing financial waste, operational friction, and unnecessary complexity across global supply chains. We are building long-term market infrastructure, not just software.

• Own logistics execution after purchase orders are exchanged
• Coordinate shipment scheduling, carrier booking, and delivery confirmation
• Ensure all shipment details align with contractual terms (FOB, CIF, etc.)
• Track shipments from dispatch to completion and proactively manage delays
• Ensure clean handoff to Accounting and Credit upon proof of delivery
• Manage relationships with 3PL providers and freight partners
• Negotiate competitive freight rates and ensure pricing transparency
• Monitor carrier performance and service reliability
• Resolve freight disputes, damage claims, and service interruptions
• Improve freight cost efficiency without compromising reliability

• Maintain accurate shipment tracking within Matium’s platform
• Collaborate with Engineering to improve freight booking automation
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements

• Partner closely with Verified Agents to ensure transaction timelines are met
• Coordinate with Credit & Compliance to ensure insured shipment requirements are met
• Work with Accounting to reconcile freight costs and ensure timely settlement
• Provide real-time updates to suppliers and buyers during shipment lifecycle

• Build logistics workflows that scale with GMV growth
• Implement KPIs around on-time delivery, freight cost efficiency, and dispute resolution
• Design escalation protocols for high-value or time-sensitive transactions
• Improve predictability and transparency across all shipments

• Clean settlement cycles with no logistics-related payment delays
• Reduced freight disputes and cost overruns
• Logistics systems capable of supporting 10x volume growth

• 6+ years of experience in logistics, freight operations, or supply chain management
• Experience managing 3PL relationships and carrier negotiations
• Strong understanding of freight terms (FOB, CIF, etc.) and shipment documentation
• Experience operating in transaction-heavy environments preferred
• Strong organizational and execution discipline
• Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously without loss of accuracy
• Strong communication skills across commercial and operational teams
• Comfortable operating in a high-growth, infrastructure-building environment

• Base Salary:$95,000 – $135,000 (commensurate with experience)
