of Work

The Training and Certification Manager oversees the management, administration, and compliance assurance of training and certification within the Authority Operations Center (AOC) at MDTA.

  • Responsible for the development of training programs, operational/technical certifications, and delivery of standardized training programs;
  • Prepare customized programs and author new training materials;
  • Train employees on Coordinated Highways Action Response Team (CHART) specific topics including familiarization with applicable custom software and devices, standard operating procedures, traffic incident management duties, and communication protocols;
  • Serve as the Project Manager for the CHART Reporting Tool;
  • Prepare and monitor the annual training budget by conducting meetings, analyzing data, and estimating program costs;
  • Monitor staff work and track AOC’s performance indicators;
  • Research new training programs and courses to further develop the AOC workforce;
