Practice Nurse

Falcon Grove Medical Centre is seeking a Practice Nurse to join our team working 2-3 days per week, with the ability to cover annual leave and sick leave. Based in Falcon, you will play an important role in delivering patient care in all aspects of nursing.

• Providing direct clinical nursing care to patients, including patient triage, wound management and assisting with clinical procedures.
• Assisting with health assessments and chronic disease management plans, including providing health education to patients.
• Delivering vaccine programs to adults and children including travel vaccines and advice.
• Providing services to patients such as ECG's, Spirometry's, Iron infusions, Venesections, Suture removals and Injections of various sorts.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and well‑stocked clinical environment for treatment rooms and GP rooms.
• Infection Control & Cold chain management.
• Maintaining patient recalls and reminders.
• Effective communication with patients, nurses, GP's and admin staff.
• Current registration with AHPRA as an Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse.
• Immunisation Certificate - or willing to obtain before starting.
• CPR Certificate - or willing to obtain before starting.
• Previous General Practice experience will be highly regarded.
• Previous experience using Best Practice will be highly regarded.
