RN Nurse
Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our Progressive Care Unit to support our mission of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.
Responsibilities- Educate patients and families through the continuum of care and facilitate their ongoing learning via guidance from senior nurses and the Clinical Nurse Manager.
- Serve as a role model for Level I nurses and utilize electronic resources to support best practices in patient care.
- Demonstrate professionalism, adhere to ANA standards of practice, and exemplify Adventist Health Care values in nursing duties.
- Use equipment and technology correctly; delegate non‑nursing duties appropriately to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop a plan of care according to patient population.
- Identify impending changes in patient condition accurately and initiate corrective action.
- Mentor students, colleagues, and team members in patient‑centered care.
- Conduct purposeful rounding from the patient and family perspective.
- Conduct efficient literature searches and apply findings appropriately to practice.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical care and participate in evidence‑based practice changes.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Passing score on the NCLEX.
- Minimum one year of RN experience required.
- Current Maryland state nursing license.
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications as required by specialty area.

Salary: $37.00 – $55.00 per hour (location-based)
Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), this position is classified as Non‑Exempt.
