Registered Nurse; RN), Day Shift, Progressive Care Unit

Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our Progressive Care Unit to support our mission of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

• Educate patients and families through the continuum of care and facilitate their ongoing learning via guidance from senior nurses and the Clinical Nurse Manager.
• Serve as a role model for Level I nurses and utilize electronic resources to support best practices in patient care.
• Demonstrate professionalism, adhere to ANA standards of practice, and exemplify Adventist Health Care values in nursing duties.
• Use equipment and technology correctly; delegate non‑nursing duties appropriately to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
• Develop a plan of care according to patient population.
• Identify impending changes in patient condition accurately and initiate corrective action.
• Mentor students, colleagues, and team members in patient‑centered care.
• Conduct purposeful rounding from the patient and family perspective.
• Conduct efficient literature searches and apply findings appropriately to practice.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical care and participate in evidence‑based practice changes.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Passing score on the NCLEX.
• Minimum one year of RN experience required.
• Current Maryland state nursing license.
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications as required by specialty area.

Salary: $37.00 – $55.00 per hour (location-based)

Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), this position is classified as Non‑Exempt.
