Overview
Medtronic’s Pelvic Health Operating Unit delivers minimally invasive neuromodulation therapies for bladder and bowel control conditions. The Clinical Specialist supports surgical coverage, follow‑up, troubleshooting, customer service, and education across a territory that requires residency within the area and effective travel.
Responsibilities- Represent Medtronic Pelvic Health during surgeries and implants by providing all necessary equipment and ensuring correct device selection, programming, implantation, and testing.
- Maintain current product knowledge and stay aware of competitive offerings.
- Identify and address patient and provider needs through education and training of physicians, nursing, and office staff.
- Coordinate individual sessions, in‑service programs, seminars, and external symposiums.
- Assist district managers and the in‑house training department with onboarding and training new employees.
- Provide sales support during and after cases, including completion of implant registration, , packing lists, and invoicing.
- Place orders through customer service for purchase orders and product replacements as needed.
- Communicate effectively with district personnel, customers, and other Medtronic employees.
- Contribute to milestone completion on regional and national projects.
- Follow all work/quality procedures to ensure compliance and high‑quality work.
- Must Have
- High School Diploma or GED + 6 years of patient care/clinical experience OR
- Associate’s Degree + 4 years of patient care/clinical experience OR
- Bachelor’s Degree + 2 years of patient care/clinical experience.
- Minimum 50% travel within territory and valid driver’s license with active vehicle insurance.
- Prefer local qualified candidates and Medtronic experience.
- Valid driver’s license and driving record reviewed (at least 3 months of good record).
- Physical ability to be independently mobile and use a computer.
- Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and coach others on product use.
- Strong organizational skills, prioritization under pressure, and multitasking capabilities.
- Clinical skill with implantable neuromodulation products and experience servicing medical personnel.
- Experience with medical device or pharmaceutical company in a specialty (e.g., urology, surgery, neurology).
- For degrees earned outside the U.S., requisite qualification per 8C.F.R. §214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A).
- Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree.
- Clinical experience performing trials, implant, or refilling pumps.
- Experience with neuromodulation stimulation and inpatient/end‑of‑life care.
Salary ranges for U.S. locations (USD): $76,000 – $114,000. Base salary is complemented by a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) and a comprehensive benefits package for regular employees (20+ hours per week). Benefits include:
