Postdoctoral Researcher – Bioelectronic Sensing (PREP)
The Microsystems and Nanotechnology Division at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) seeks a postdoctoral researcher to develop chip‑scale assays for accurate and sensitive biomarker measurements using CMOS biosensor technology.
Key Responsibilities- Design and assembly of DNA nanostructures.
- Develop techniques and validation methods to verify attachment of DNA nanostructures to semiconductor substrates.
- Setup and develop instrumentation to support CMOS bioelectronic measurements.
- Characterize biotic‑abiotic interfaces and surface chemistry.
- Ph.D. in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Two years of relevant experience.
- Expertise with electrochemical or electrical measurements (e.g., EIS, cyclic voltammetry, capacitance) of DNA nanostructures or DNA on CMOS detectors.
- Experience in nanofabrication techniques and processes.
- Proficiency in data analysis using MATLAB, Mathematica, Python, or similar software.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- U.S. citizens preferred.
