Senior Research Associate
This position is responsible for executing experiments and analyzing the resulting data in support of reagent and assay development projects with limited supervision. This is a laboratory-based position responsible for advancing research and/or development objectives focused on leading-edge biomarker measurements and technology.
Duties and responsibilities include designing and executing experiments and implementing plans with limited guidance utilizing established protocols. The role also involves troubleshooting on experiments, reporting any issues and proposing possible solutions to manager, performing data analysis using spreadsheets and graphing software, preparing experimental reports and/or presentations, and participating in general lab maintenance initiatives.
Experience and qualifications required include a bachelor's degree in life sciences or related area, two years hands-on laboratory work experience or one year hands on experience with the MSD platform, and training in and experience with Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2) techniques. Knowledge of immunoassay technology, strong communication skills, and excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills are also necessary.
Physical demands include sitting and standing for long periods, walking, using hands and fingers to operate objects, and occasionally working at heights above four feet and moving/lifting up to 25 pounds. The work environment is a laboratory setting with handling of chemical reagents and some Biosafety Level 2 work.
Compensation ranges from $67,900 to $101,000 annually, with potential for a discretionary or non-discretionary bonus.
