OverviewThis laboratory-based position supports reagent and assay development projects by executing experiments and analyzing data, under close supervision.
Responsibilities- Execute experiments and implement plans under close guidance utilizing established protocols.
- Assist in data analysis and prepare experimental reports and presentations.
- Participate in general lab maintenance, including inventory of supplies and equipment, processing/vialing/labeling materials, and maintaining reagent inventories.
- Monitor and report on the infrastructure of a lab or functional area (if selected).
- Perform any additional duties as assigned based on departmental requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or a related field (required).
- Hands‑on laboratory experience (highly desired); industry experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of scientific fundamentals and analytical background.
- Knowledge of immunoassay technology is a plus.
- Aptitude for learning standard laboratory techniques and safety precautions.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and time‑management skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
- Creative, collaborative, proactive, and self‑motivated.
- Ability to execute experiments following protocols and/or SOPs.
- Basic data‑analysis skills; knowledge of MS Excel, Graph Pad Prism, and SharePoint is a plus.
- Sitting and standing for long periods; walking, using hands/fingers, and reaching with hands and arms.
- Up to 75% of the day spent at a lab bench.
- Occasional work at heights above four feet and moving or lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Laboratory environment involving chemical reagents and Biosafety Level 2 work.
- Handling of BSL‑2 materials and organisms including human blood or blood products.
The annual base salary ranges from $59,100 to $87,900, with additional discretionary or non‑discretionary bonuses based on performance.
